Marty, you didn't fall asleep, did you?“
“Uh, Doc. Uh, no. No, don't... don't be silly.“
"Let me show you this remote control. It's a Futaba... you know... all the best stuff is made in Japan. I've upgraded it a bit - it's now able to control the DeLorean time machine!"
My new MOC is a 1:1 scale replica of the legendary remote control used by Doc Brown in Back to the Future (1985) to control the Delorean.
Most of the toggle and rotary switches can be moved. The two main joysticks even return to their center position (from left to right) using a spring mechanism.
I did my best to make the remote control as precise as possible - right down to the four Duracell batteries on the back and the cable connections on the STOP switch and the STOP indicator.
As an easter egg, I designed the remote openable - inside is the famous scene in the Twin Pines Mall parking lot when Marty travels back through time pursued by the Libyans. There was even room for Doc's SEIKO control clock, which he uses to monitor the first time travel experiment with Einstein.
The remote goes along great with your DeLorean (10300) or as a cool and iconic standalone build.

*note: On my pictures the four fender pieces around the joysticks are painted silver. These are light bluish gray in the partlist.
Only thing left to say is: Save travels! See you on the other side.

Mani
